Well, I agree that the "quality" of the yorkies and other dogs on that site isn't great, I have never seen an ugly yorkie. Even the ones that are not breed standard are cute in their own way, imo. I also do not feel that $1300 is too much for a typical yorkie puppy, but these do not look like they are of the best quality...and I am concerned that there are no photos of the adults. It is hard to get a puppy for less than $500 if you want it an it's mother to have had the best care. Even the homeliest puppy needs to cost that or the breeder is losing money if they are providing good food, vet care and adequate human socialization.
I would keep looing unless there is one that particularly caught your eye. In that case I would call and ask a lot of questions. I would definitely speak to their vet and any other referral sources they will give you. I would ask if either of the parents is on site.
