Then they might be MAD at you....hypothetically.
I think in the OP's case...if she has sent an email or pm inquiring and still didn't receive a response....that's pretty much all she can do....or hypothetically we all beat the other person up.
I agree it's not nice and thank yous go a long way....too bad not everyone has learned that.
