Can the first owner give you a time frame as to when she was in heat? Can you post a photo of her under belly, laying on her back?
Treat her as if she is expecting a litter, diet-wise (puppy dry) read the achives for more info..her size is good and the male is at least a smaller Yorkie. Are you telling me the vet has no way to xray anything..what about a broken bone etc.
My husband has relatives in Ky and some places are very rural..but can you find a vet in an area to help you out in case of a serious problem?
I doubt you will have a problem with an 8 pounders, but it is always best to be prepared...
