I ended up calling the vet because one of Ellie's staples is almost out and others look loose. She said she has to do them loose because when the skin expands, if they are too tight, they get embedded. One or two can fall out anyway without concern since she has so many. I mentioned that the pain med isn't as strong as I would like but at the same time Ellie did jump today so I don't think she's as bad off as I think she is. She is much improved and is back to her piggy self about food.
