Hi, I'm new too, but I'm hooked on YT now! I'm going through a hard time right now because we had a litter of puppies, both male and female are ours and the puppies were born with a very rare disease. I found this site while researching the disease. Just wanted to tell you I had a sweet male Yorkie, Fritter for 13 wonderful years when we lost him to heart disease. I was so devasted it took me 3 years to decide I wanted another dog. I still couldn't bear to think of another Yorkie, so we got a toy poodle. We had Rocky for 12 wonderful years until we lost him to Cushings Disease. Having had both Yorkies and Toy Poodles, I actually found them to be very alike in temperment. Each have their own unique personalities, but that is true in all dogs. When we knew we were going to lose Rocky we decided we would get another dog before we lost him. Although Rocky had Cushings he lived about 2 good years with medication and he loved our Yorky. I got another male, and my Yorkie, Snickers, and Rocky would cuddle up and sleep together. They loved one another. So, if you already have a poodle, a Yorkie would probably be a great choice! After we lost Rocky, we bought another companion for Snickers because he was lost without Rocky. We purchased a female this time, Almond Joy, and that led to our current problem!! Good luck, I hope you find the perfect puppy!!
