It's true. Some shelters are a "no-kill" shelter but some are. So just be prepared in case you witness anything like that. I have and it's just heart breaking for me. I can't stand to see a cat or dog (mostly cats at the shelter by me) euthanized because they can't find a home. It's just so sad.
