The bump is simple. All you are doing is posting, and it doesn't have to be the word "bump", but anything else you have to say. Everytime a thread receives a post it takes it to the top so people use the term and type the term bump if they think the post is important and want it seen but they don't necessarily have anything to say or advice to give so they just say "bump"
