One pound at 4 weeks If you want a teeny do not buy this puppy. My boys were 2 pounds at 12 weeks and one weighs almost 9 pounds and the other almost 7 pounds. If size is what really matters (and IMHO it should not) then it is likely, again in my opinion, that this pup will weigh around 7-8 pounds. If this pup doubles his weight in the next four weeks, which I have been told is the norm, he shold weigh at least 6 pounds full grown. So if you are looking for a tiny, you should wait til this pup is at least 12 weeks to be more confident about his size and then times it by two. I love my boys and their size does not matter, in fact, healthier more active dogs with excellent appetites would be hard to find. I have had a total of four yorkies, so I do have some experience. And also IMO and in concurrence with my vet and the local ASPCA, dogs do not finish growing until they are one year. |
