I don't know if this will help but here are a couple of very small things you can do that will add up quickly.
When I write a check I round it up to the next $ amount when I subtract it. So, if I write a check for $22.13 I write that in the box so I have the exact amount but I subtract $23.00 from my balance. I never balance my checkbook because there is always more in there than my balance shows.
We also throw our change in a jar at the end of the day and that adds up very quickly. You could easily have a few hundred dollars 'saved' up in a short time if you did these two little things and you never miss the change. |
