Also, with the shears (especially if you are grooming your own poodle) get GOOD ones! I personally love Dubl Duck. They are awesomeness. They have some curved shears that are great! Also, a good set of straight shears. For the poodles too, it is really important to blow dry the hair completley as soon as (s)he is out of the bath, this will prevent the curls from drying in tight rings and making knots.


Best of luck! Oh, and also, you may want to try to use some $12 mustache trimmers for the Yorkies ears/potty area/feet. I have some Oster A5's, but my 2 like the smaller ones better, and for a begginer, you may find these are easier to handle and use with your dogs.
