It does sound like it is the lighter coat coming through....I have a cotton coated one and a silky coated one, the cotton coat is a
pain, but I like the longer hair so I deal with it, he mats up like steel wool so fast...
I didn't think I was going to be able to distinguish between the coats, but when I got my second yorkie ( 10 months old) I could tell right away his was different, his coat is
soooo much easier to deal with, his coat feels like our hair....
I hope you are able to find a groomer you like, that seems to be a regular problem for some of us here....there's a lot of bad groomers out there...when you find one hang on the them
