I got Pixie from a great breeder but she was 13 months old and housed in the Breeders basement where she runs her program out of. Pixie was ina run with 2 other dogs. Pixie was never bred but she did have potty issues thatwe are still dealing with 9 months later, but she is getting better. I would suggest she get her out as much as possible to socialize her to the everyday world. I didn't do that very well with Pixie as I don't take my dogs out much but I wish I had better socialized her now. I think patience and a close eye will help. I think one place I went wrong was I tried to pee pad train PIxie and she never really understood pee pad vs carpet so in the last 2 months we switched to outside pottying and she is doing much better. so my advice would to train to the outside. |
