Jenn218, yes, I can imagine someone being so cruel. It's sad but that is the nature of the world we live in. I don't want to get into a whole religion, state of moral decay debate or anything but turn on the nightly news and look at what people are doing to their fellow man (and woman) and no one should wonder why these people have no trouble doing things like this to "some dumb animal" (probably their thoughts, not mine). I'm a firm believer that everything, living or otherwise, was put on this earth for man to use and enjoy responsibly. That doesn't make it OK to abuse the gifts we've been given. And who on this board doesn't believe that the love of an animal, Yorkie, Poodle, Cat, Goldfish or whatever isn't one of the greatest gifts of all. I rank it way up there, just below the love of and for my children. Well, my human children, not my adopted, four-legged variety ;-)
Of course, I'm pretty sure your question was rhetorical but still...
Everyone is right though, this is a very sad situation. I just don't think it's right to breed the same animals over and over. I mean, sure more and more people are wanting Yorkies (or poodles or pit bulls or whatever) and they have to come from somewhere, but, still. This is just taking things way too far.
