 Scabs on neck and spine
My yorkie, Guppy the Puppy, has some scabs on his spine. No fleas, he and my golden retriever are both on Sentinel and Advantage. Bailey has no problems, but just this past month I noticed a large red area on Guppy's back. I cleaned it and it started getting a bit "crusty" so I took him into the vet. He checked for fleas but found none. Feels this is some type of dermatitis and is treating with Malaseb shampoo and Genesis spray plus oral prednisone. But the large area seems to be healing, but now the scabs seem to be spreading up his spine to his shoulder blades. Doesn't seem to be itchy. Anyone else have experience with this? |
