I hate to admit it but I've done that before also. The worst thing that I washed and then dried was some red play-do that my daughter had in her pocket for some reason. I always check pockets but missed that one somehow. It actually survived the washing machine and I still didn't notice it. When I opened the dryer there was melted play-do on everything. I pretty much had to throw away everything from that load and I had to clean the dryer. Not fun!
