There are fires in every direction(every part of southern california) Tim(my bf's) work is RIGHT next to the irvine fires(he is there). It took him almost 2 hours to get to work this morning(which normally takes about 30 min., with no traffic) Alot of the streets are closed(including the (oc)toll road, and some freeways)
I feel so sorry for the people who's houses, etc. have been lost. Last i heard there were 4 people injured and one fatality.. so lets just pray that it remains that way!! This is Avie's first BIG wind encounter.. it kinda freaks her out(poor baby) im continuing with the prayers and hopefully this will all end soon!!

PS.(u guys should see/smell outside) You can even smell the fires inside our home(and we have kept everything closed up since it began!!) Tim said the visibility, etc. was horrible out by him(i can imagine) (But on a lighter note.. i almost got a carwash about 2 days ago, ha. that would've lasted long, right? )

XO.

Hi Meg and Tim, as a suggestion, keep your a/c going and also if you have weep holes in your windows plug them up and cover all your vents and any exhaust vents (with aluminum foil) that the outside air could come through till this is all over. (Besure to uncover the weep holes in the windows when this is over.)

It is all toooooo close, hopefully we will be getting word soon that things are improved. The wind almost knocked me over earlier and it is still just as strong.

Anyone that is able to get sandwiches and nourishment to the fire men near you, please do so if you can, we hear many are working non stop and on 24 hour shifts and then some.
When we had the fire here near us couple years ago, we made sandwiches and took fruits and bottled water and left it for them to get when they could. They really appreciated it.
