Nice thread so far. Very good opinions and experiences.
We are breeders located in a suburb or Reading PA (not too far from NYC). A lovely young couple from NYC just bought a baby girl from our current litter. They told us that they visited and spoke to many breeders before coming across us.
We breed typically one or two litters a year. We are very active in raising our babies. Before leaving for the new homes, our babies are wee pad trained, have all their shots on board and are sent to their new homes with a very nice "new home gift basket". The basket includes such things as toys, treats, food, a book on raising a Yorkie, etc. You can read more information about our babies, what to look for when searching for a Yorkie, the horrors of puppy mills, etc on our F.A.Q page at our website -

My wife Eileen is a veterinary technician. We ensure our line has no cross breeding, genetic issues or aliments. Five stool samples are taken from each puppy and tested to verify that they have no parasites, each puppy has their fully regimen of shots, and have full physicals not to mention the wee pad training.
I believe us to be one of the best breeders you'll find. Period. We breed for the love of the breed. The joy on an owner's face when they come to pick up their new baby is priceless. We only sell to people we believe will provide a loving healthy home to our babies. We've turned down quite a few prospective owners for one reason or another. Or babies will always be our babies to us. We would rather keep every one of them than to send them to a home that just doesn't "feel" right.
Sincerely,
Terry & Eileen Ferragame
