i have heard that cotton coats look very thick, and that's why I wonder... but this is my first yorkie and I don't have any comparison point.
but her hair is very shiny, and abundant as you describe, it doesn't matt nor break. doesn't even shed! the brush almost comes clean when I brush her.

I also have heard that cotton coats or soft coats break and matt and also don't change the black (?) they just turn to gray or stay black, I would like to know if this is correct. Because her head is beginning to get gray with golden, and I wonder if that's proof that she's not cotton or soft.

I swear I have read www.yorkiepassion.com chapter about color breaking patterns many times, but still don't completely get it
