I hope your fur baby is better today. As for making the big circles and then pooping in a small area is normal. My two boys do the same thing. In fact I think most breeds of dogs do. My outside dog does it too.
My husband gave me my boys as a birthday present on Oct. 7th. The one thing I can think of that wasn't covered by fallo317 is: you have to constantly watch what they place in their mouths. My husband dropped a thumbtack and we hunted everywhere for it. Rickey found it. Almost gave me a heart attack because he was chewing on it!
