Animal Smiley 036 potty training

I had exact panicking feeling like you back in June when I got my two girls. They are now over 6 month old and I got them spayed just this past Wednesday. Crate training is for you to train your puppies to hold it for certain amount of time before they gradually get used to hold for a longer period of time. (It's a lot of hard work at the beginning because you will have to get up during the middle of the night to potty train them.) Lots of people use pad training as a transition before the puppies are fully potty trainined. My puppies chewed the pads so I failed. Newspaper of course didn't work as well. I eventually got an indoor potty and they got used to it very soon. I am still using the indoor potty now. The following the link gives you an idea how the indoor potty works:

(if the link doesn't work, go to ebay and type "indoor dog potty")

The puppies know they need to use the potty when they go pee or poop. Indoor potty train works for me because it's very hot in Phoenix when I got them in June. And I don't really want them to go outside when they can possibly get bit by insects or scorpions. Puppies don't have much control over their pee or poop at this age, so I expect lots ot hard work ahead of you. Either indoor potty train or outdoor eventually, there are pros and cons with each way. Yorkies are smart dogs, they will get it soon though. Just remember to praise them a lot and offer them treats when they do the right thing.
