Ours did not bark much for the first few months, but she is a barker now, and mine sounds like a much bigger dog when she barks. It is not quiet. She especially barks at the vacuum cleaner, broom and other cleaning things. This is also common for Yorkies. I would be worried that you would fall in love with yours and it would fall in love with you, and then you would be found out. That would be so sad. It is best to be up front rather than live in fear.
