Hi everyone. I want to get a puppy from Mexico and take it to the U.S. with me when I go home for my Christmas break. But, I was reading on some websites that all dogs have to have a rabbies vaccine. When do puppies get this vaccine? I will be getting a puppy that will be at least 8-12 weeks old by the time I leave. What exactly can I do? Has anyone traveled with a puppy without the rabbies vaccine? Also, it says a vet check needs to be done before leaving, but is the vet check valid for when I leave Mexico and come back? This is all so confusing, so I want to get as much info from the experts.
If I need to have a puppy that is vaccinated against rabbies, then maybe I need to get a puppy now!
