It's good to hear he did well!
I don't think you're supposed to bathe them for two weeks or so after - and even then give the groomer a heads up about being careful down there.
Raja took 1 month to heal because he pulled something lose inside (insert cringe here!), so he went over a month without a bath.
Our little aftercare sheet from the vet said not to let them jump (like into or off a seat, etc).
Hope he's feeling better! If he's taking Metacam I bet he doesn't even feel a thing.
