Like most experts, within their expertise, they have specific areas in which they excel. Cesar does probably do the best work with larger dogs. In fact, I sometimes get a kick of watching him work with Yorkies, because I think they even befuddle the Dog Whisperer at times. Yes, a lot of it is common sense (his calm assertive direction is how I successfully raised my kids!!), but there is often a void of common sense as well as the need to be reminded sometimes.
My husband had a devil of a time walking Coby. I had him watch one episode of leash walking and he tried it the next day. Nothing different in the way the leash was used at all. It was my husband's empowered (and yet kind) attitude. My husband (a skeptic in most areas) was an instant believer.
And I agree that his book gives you a bit more insight into the man.
I will have to research the bill that's being addressed, as I'm sad to say, I am not well-educated on it. |
