I'm sorry you are having trouble with Cocoa, and quite frankly cannot believe you cannot find him a great home, but I don't know if the training idea is a great one. First of all, he is a yorkie, and they just have a lot of personality (STUBBORN!) and energy...so he's not going to lose his energy. Also, for someone else to train him and then you to take over probably won't work because yorkies listen to who they're supposed to listen to and not others.
Now, let me close by saying...I am not a trainer (NOR ANYWHERE CLOSE) and I've got two bratty little yorkies (who I love dearly), so I don't know..maybe the training would work?? I hope you get some more opinions on this and possibly someone to help you out.
