I know how you feel. I recently graduated from USF with a Psych degree and when I was looking for a job in my major, I was either over qualified or under qualified. Or they just weren't paying enough. I got offered like $26,000 a year for a job that I needed a degree for. I said no thanks. And now I'm a BA and I didn't even need my degree for this job. lol. But at least I'm getting experience, getting paid well (I get to negotiate for a raise at the end of 3 months... in November). I might end up going back to school to get my masters... but this time I'm going to be smart and get my masters in business and not psych. lol
*Good luck with the job hunting! You should also checkout craigslist (If you haven't already), because i know they have a ton of jobs listed in NY. That's how I found mine.
