I hope the pain has subsided now. I've been thinking about you. I know when my husband has a flare up he can't even stand for the sheet to touch his foot at night. Let us know how it's doing and if any of the suggestions helped.

My FIL finally figured out that beans (I can't remember if it was pinto or kidney beans) caused his gout to flare up. He cut those out of his diet and hasn't had another episode. My husband hasn't really figured out what causes his. We don't eat a lot of red meat, he wouldn't dream of eating organ meat, he doesn't eat many veggies at all, he's pretty picky and doesn't really eat anything on the list. He did start limiting his lunch meat consumption, but that was mainly due to the salt content.
