Our 10-year-old rescue was named "Cuddles." I'm a guy, and while I'm secure enough in my manhood to own a 4-pound Yorkie, I'm not THAT secure. I changed his name to Jack, as in Jack Daniels, before I even got him home.
For the first few weeks, we called him Jack-Cuddles, then we dropped the Cuddles. He never seemed to struggle with it.
