This was just so all wrong on so many levels. First, I don't think Ellen meant any harm at all to anyone. She made a mistake and she has paid dearly for it. To start with, when the rescue called to (called, not paid a visit) to check on Iggy, she told the truth. She could have just said, Iggy is fine and been done with it. She could have even said that Iggy is visiting my hairdresser and family for a while because he loves their children. Then, no problem but no - she told the truth because she thought she had done a good thing for all concerned. And I believe she did. It went sour when the rescue lady got all bent out of shape because a rule had been broken or a clause in a contract. Common sense went out the window. Would the rescue have come unglued so readily had Ellen not been a celebrity? Would this have escalated to the level it has. IMHO she wanted to show Ellen that just because she is a celebrity she "get by with anything" because she (rescue lady) was still the boss no matter what was actually in the best interest of the dog or othr
