Our Yorkie Isabelle has had a pink spot on her muzzle next to her nose for 6 months to a year. My wife and I just got married and her vet never said anything serious about the spot. In an effort to get both of our dogs to the same vet we took Isabelle to the vet I've been seeing for nearly 4 years now and the spot stuck out immediately to him. He suggested that we take a biopsy of the spot I'm guessing to make sure its not cancer. The estimate in cost was nearly $500 to knock her out, take the biopsy and send the sample out to a lab for testing.

Has anyone ever experienced similar spots on their Yorkie's nose? What could be the cause of this mark?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
