One thing that will help keep her from being quite so hyper is exercise. Take her outside and let her run or take her for 2-3 walks. I take Jake out everyday, and he was going through a stage where he would be very hyper in the middle of the night when I come home from work. He would want to play all night. So, I would play with him for awhile and then take him outside to walk around the backyard. When we come back in, he goes to sleep.
I'm dealing with some of the same issues with my new puppy, Jackson. He's very hyper and Jake didn't like him at first. But, they have worked all that out and they play good together most of the time.
