Well I am definitely not a fan of the cut either. Someone once posted pictures of their maltese in a cut they called a lion cut, I believe. The legs were cut like that but he had more hair on the face. She said it was a very popular cut in Korea (I think). Maybe it's something like that, a cultural preference.
