yeah. i make her write sentences. she is very sensitive. i have never really had to spank her. she responds better to other forms of discipline...taking things away, etc. we had a deal...if she got all "green days' on her folder (which means she did not get in trouble) for an entire month, she could go to the adventure science museum....which she was SUPER excited about. but today she came home with yellow....meaning she got in trouble...so the museum will have to wait another month. stuff like that is the best way to encourage her to do right.
and writing the sentences seems to be good too....at first she is excited about writing...then she gets tired of having to sit and write the same thing over and over and over again. her teacher recommended this too.
