Anothr thing about green tripe, it is ONLY green once left in tact. Once canned, dried it is no longer green tripe, hence the name. you feed it natural and fresh or fresh frozen. Any grass animal's stomach can be used. NO PIGS please | 
 
  Thank you for all that information.  It's exactly what I read about yesterday afternoon.  The stuff you buy in the store has been processed, bleached, etc. and doesn't contain the nutrients that you get from a freshly slaughtered animal complete with half digested grasses, etc.   
You are such a GREAT mommie buying your fresh green tripe and chopping it up.  BLECH!! 
Anyway, I found this place, 
www.greentripe.com and they do that for you and send it frozen.  I'm thinking of trying it that way.
