Well, I've got some strangeeeeeee yorkies! lol My boy who I got as a puppy and is now 10 months old (TODAY!!) has never once lifted his leg..quite frankly, I don't think he knows how, and he uses the potty pads really well. I just got a 7 y/o rescue GIRL about 2 weeks ago, and she LIFTS HER LEG every time to pee!!! Can you imagine a boy that squats and a girl that lifts!?!?! LOL I guess the moral of the story is you never know what you'll get, but if you get a young male and neuter right away, I doubt you'll have problems! Good luck
