How exciting!
I love Canal Street and anywhere around SoHo. THey have some really awesome and unique shops. Also, maybe take a trip to Coney Island and get a Nathan's hot dog? We also checked out the Brooklyn Bridge which was nice. Chelsea Piers is also a fun place..its like a sports thing. And then of course there is the wax museum. I'm sure you'll get more suggestions. When my bf and I usually go we just walk around and do whatever. He works in the city though so he has a better sense of direction than me!
