Def. go with a mystic tan or go where someone will spray tan you. If you're going to do the mystic tan booth make sure you exfoliate before you go to get rid of any dead skin cells also use lotion on dry areas the night before. It recommends not using any lotion the day of. Also where I get spray tanned you can buy this little kit that comes with the exfoliator, a ph balance spray that you can spray on your whole body and it helps ensure an even tan, also it comes with a face spray as well as a body lotion that helps extend the tan, and bodywash to help get rid of the odor.
I've gone to mystic tan about 4 times and I have never had it wipe off onto any of my clothes. So I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you get it done like 2 days prior.
