Both of my boys were neutered at 6 months and they have never lifted their leg in the house, not even once. Very occasionally Malachi will lift his leg to pee on a tree in the park but to pee normally they both squat.

I think if you get them neutered before they start the habit its not a problem. I love boys just as much as girls, they are so loving
