I think it does. I try to do things for the right reasons - for no reward or personal gain. But then I don't get any acknowledgement (vs a thank you), so I don't even know if "it" was received or noticed, etc. THEN I feel guilty for wanting to make sure that they got or noticed "it" because it will look like I'm following up for my thank you. But I shouldn't feel guilty, because I'm really not looking for a thank you. AAARRRGGGHHH.
