Oh, I'm so sorry...that stinks. I've lost mine temporarily (after my ear surgery this summer) and it was horrible while it lasted. I was afraid it wasn't going to come back, but it did.
If I were you, I'd go to a different doctor. They should at least be able to tell you why you lost it.
