While it would definitely make things easier to only have males or females in the house, you don't have to do it this way. Most breeders that I know have both as do I. You just have to take special precautions when your girls are in heat as these guys will do just about anything to get to one another. I would definitely have a plan as to how you will separate them before having to do so. We only keep ours separated when they are in heat, otherwise everyone gets to run around together.
