Just got back from the vet...all is well. Earlier this morning I noticed that the two nipple areas closest to Lexie's front legs felt quite different than all of the others.

Not hard as rocks, but hard, or full. Called the vet, took her in. The vet said her temp was fine and the the fullness was due to them not being used like the other teats were. So far as I can see, those top two nipples are so small, there's not much for the pups to latch onto. She told me to apply a cool/cold compress to those two periodically, which should help stop the milk supply to them so that an infection wouldn't start up. Other than that, she told me that her other nipples had plenty of milk supply to them & mom and puppies look good. We've got an appointment for the tails and dew claws tomorrow. I was hoping that as long as we were there today, they could have done it then, but they had to many other appointments today. Oh, and I may have another prospective buyer...one of the office staff was inquiring if we were selling the pups and what the price was. We're not sure what our price will be yet, but I think we better decide because already, "inquiring minds want to know". Anyway, just thought I'd keep you all updated with the latest....
