I have a question breeders. I really would like to breed someday and I have been wondering... How do you keep your males and females separate? Do you just separate when the females are in heat or do you do it year round just in case one would come in before you noticed? How do you keep your males under control during that time if you aren't breeding right then? I certainly don't want to ever have a mistake but it seems like you'd have to keep them separate until 6 years old and get them spayed/neutered. Is that true?
