I cry every time I sell a pup, but I've learned to look forward to pictures and I send them birthday and Christmas presents. As far as I'm concerned, they are my grandpuppies! It's one of the requirements I have when I sell a pup, they have to keep in touch!
My husband and I just got back from a cruise and when we flew through Atlanta to get to New York, one of my babies moms met us at our departure gate in Atlanta (she's an airline stewardess), so we actually got to see one of our babies who is about 1 1/2 yrs now. Note: I was looking forward to that more than the cruise...lol.
Well, she was absolutely beautiful! I'll post pics later. We took lots and lots! I also took her a gift, just like I was going to see one of my skin grandbabies.
In other words, there are a lot of good things to look forward to, if you put forth the effort to stay in touch. And the pain only lasts till you talk to the new owners after they get the baby home and realize you did a good thing! (It doesn't take long for that little pup to wrap their new mom and dad around their little paw!)
So hang in there! Joy comes in the morning!
