My mom didn't go for the summer assistant idea (at all). She said "that's not ever going to happen". I was like, OK there's no convincing here...I'm going to have to find somebody here in Colorado, that I can assist. She actually said to me that I could do it, if they lived here.
She wasn't against the idea of learning from a professional, but rather me going away for an entire summer with somebody she didn't know. She told me she was "all for" me learning from somebody, and being an assistant, but she's not going to let me go to Florida for a summer.
In Jr, a pup can "not turn out" for the ring, right? since the judging is based on the ability to handle? So do I want to get this pup for Junior Handling? Would I still want to wait past 12wks (6mo) to make a desition about him??
