Sorry this is long..
Something happened today around 3 wit my little girl Mattie. I was sitting on
the couch reading about my surgery and what to expect Friday. I was watching Mattie and Max running an playing like crazy. As I stated before,Mattie is a little tomboy and thinks she is a rottwieller or something. lol.. anyway, she was running and took a running leap to jump on Max an Max moved and she hit the floor and slid right into the kitchen cabinet. I heard a thump when she hit. I screamed an jump right up and she was just laying there.. her tongue was hanging out and she wasn't moving. I picked her up carefully and called her name and hugged her to me. She didn't move. I grabbled the phone and called the vet. Thank God my vet is only 4 blocks from my house. They said to bring her right in.I grabbed her little blanket and wrapped her in it , I then called my husband at the office on the way out the door to meet me at the vets. I was a fright to see, I tell you... I had on some old sweats and a old shirt and my hair wasn't comb an no Makeup.. I was really a mess. I got there and about ran.. ( what I call run) hehee.. and they took her right back. Well she woke up in the mean time me driving there. She still wasn't responding well. Her right eye was all bloodshot. It scared me to just looking at it. The vet had to calm me down as I was crying. He kept telling me accidents happen. Well, to make a LONG story short.. she has a slight concussion. She started to standing and walking a little and whining when she seen me. He gave her some medicine to help the inflamation and pain. He said to keep her quiet and don't let her run around, she will probably sleep alot.. Right now she is sleeping but she did get up and go to the potty pad an peed! She then went right back to her bed and went to sleep. I still am crying. she is so little and precious. My husband go to the vets in record time.. and hugged me and said it wasn't my fault. I still blame myself. I should have made them quit running around and playing and rough housing. I sure hope she will be okay. Just say a prayer and I will keep in touch.
