Its the name of the main character from Wicked.
Wicked is a book loosely based on the Wizard of Oz...also made into a musical. Elphaba is the "wicked witch of the west".
The first day she was home she quieted down in the cage when wicked came on the radio and got REALLY quiet when the song starting with a quick "Elphaba!" came on. Thought I was imagining it...but the more it played the more she reacted.
