I just wanted to add one thing...

Do make sure you get Max neutered as soon as your vet says it's safe to. These toy breed males seem to have a tendency to want to mark their territory indoors. It's best to get him neutered before he starts any objectionable behavior related to sexual maturity as neutering often doesn't stop it once they've started.

If your husband is hyper about housebreaking, he certainly won't want little Max lifting his leg on the furniture!
