I know what you mean I really don't like touching raw meat but I'm getting use to it. As far as the dogs getting sick from it from what I've read dogs aren't affected by salmonella and if you freeze the meat for at least 48 hours prior to feeding it it will kill the neosporum caninum, it's a little scary getting started but now that its been a few days I feel much better about it. There are different opinions about the subject and it's a personal choice.
