I don't dress my babies now, they go au natural but I do make sure they don't spend very much time in the sun, it can be horribly hot here from about May until November so I make sure they have air conditioning and only go out in the sun long enough to get some fresh air and do their business, play time is done in doors so they don't get over heated so I have the opposite problem to you.

I think that's a great gauge to go by. I pretty much use that too!
